Our primary focus is providing destination management services for colleges and universities. This includes arranging accommodations, transportation, special events and meetings with government institutions, industry, educational institutions, NGOs, religious organizations or affinity groups. Cultural Exchange Program

Educational Exchange Program

Rural Immersion Program

• Up to 3 hours of social welfare topics
• Accommodation placement (2 days village homestay)
• Transportation for duration of program
• 1 full-day social work session
• Ghanaian naming ceremony
• 8 all-day rural excursions
• Social work agency visit
• African drumming and dance workshop
• KASA Sessions (talk time / discussions)

Rural Immersion Workshop

Highlights:

• Accepted greeting tutorial
• Comportment in the presence of village Royal tutorial
• Cultural drumming and dance session
• Ghanaian naming ceremony
• Exchange of donations
• Break out sessions for pottery making and weaving (basket weaving or Kente weaving)
• Farewell event

Short Study Excursions

Examples of Short Study Excursions:

• Kakum National Park and a visit to the Cape Coast Castle (2 days )
• A visit to the Mole National Game Park and a visit to the 13th Century Larabanga Mosque (3 days )
• Volta region tour (2 days) including Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary, Wli Waterfall and Afadjato Mountain (the highest peak in Ghana)

Community Service Program

Highlights:

• Habitat for Humanity: During this service project, you will be working alongside Ghanaians in a nearby location. In partnership with Habitat, the future homeowners will also be there. Homeowner families are chosen according to their need and their ability to repay the no-interest mortgage. A typical day begins with a welcome from the Habitat team and some instruction on the activities of the day. This is followed by a morning work session, lunch and then an afternoon work session. Supervision on site is provided by an experienced local builder. Duration of community work: up to 6 hours
• Osu Children’s Home: Spend the day at the OSU Children’s Orphanage, where you may participate in community work by teaching, painting, or doing other support services. The home is a community for orphaned, abandoned and needy children from infancy to 18 years of age. It was started in 1949 by an NGO known as Child Care Society. Today the home is managed by the Department of Social Welfare. Duration of community work: up to 6 hours
