All of the food was excellent. Some people in our group even had private excursions. They wanted to do outside of our group 12 and Gideon kindly accommodated. Any question we had he was there to answer on top of all of that his personality and charisma and sense of humor is unmatched! It's beautiful, it's full of entrepreneurs, it's developing. It's an experience of a lifetime. Tour guide David and Driver Francis were simply the best. They listened to all of our needs, wants, and strong opinions (13 of us) and accommodated us all. The restaurants Buka, Gulf Coast, Sandbox, Polo Club. Frankie's-very nice. Hotel Labadi was nice-be prepared for lots of festive during Christmas holiday season. For those with young adults (18-28) they would enjoy the action on the beach. Our experience to the village of Torgome in the Lower Volta took us to our highest spiritual points. We left the village with new names and renewed spirituality. We also visited the Elmina and Cape Coast Castles where our guides did a great job of reenacting the painful experiences of the captured ancestors. The Kakun National Park was great fun! Our tour ended with the spectacular tour of Accra: W.E.B. DuBois Centre for Pan African Culture, Independence Square and the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park. Our pilgrimage to Ghana was well planned with good hotels and clean restaurants with good food. Future trips will be a couple of days longer in order to include time for rest and reflection. Ghana has a lot to offer culturally, spiritually and historically. LandTours, and especially Tara Gbedemah, must be congratulated for wonderful customer service. Elvis was the most accommodating, positive, congenial, comforting and knowledgeable guide we could have possibly had. I can't think of a thing that he didn't do to try to make our trip as wonderful as possible--and he succeeded! We had a magical time. We were well fed, saw many historical sites with extremely knowledgeable docents at each site, had wonderful shopping opportunities, some "chill time," and great accommodations.
