My husband and I went for our 5th anniversary and we had asked if it would be possible to receive a love blessing from the Ashanti chief and queen when we visited their village. They coordinated everything and we had the most incredible anniversary I could imagine. Elvis and Daniel were funny and helpful. By the end of the trip we all felt like a big family. We asked a lot of questions about Ghanaian culture, politics and customs, and they were happy to explain everything. Our hotels were cozy and full of character. Seriously, our trip to Ghana will remain one of our favorite trips ever!

Travelling with them and hearing their local perspective on the sights, history, culture and economics of Ghana provided a depth to our experience that we did not expect. We toured Accra, Cape Coast, Kakum National Park and climbed Mount Afajado. We flew to Tamale where we were met by our guides and spent several days at Zaina Lodge in Mole National Park where we went on multiple safaris and saw elephants, Kob and so many other animals. Returning to the south by road, we spent several days in Kumasi visiting local artisans including Kente weavers and Adinkra artists. Elvis was the most accommodating, positive, congenial, comforting and knowledgeable guide we could have possibly had. I can't think of a thing that he didn't do to try to make our trip as wonderful as possible--and he succeeded! We had a magical time. We were well fed, saw many historical sites with extremely knowledgeable docents at each site, had wonderful shopping opportunities, some "chill time," and great accommodations. It's difficult for me to fit everything into words but, suffice it to say, if I'm fortunate enough to return to Ghana, I'll be booking with Landtours again.
