DAY 1                        AKWAABA - WELCOME

Arrive in Accra, Ghana. Transfer to the hotel for Welcome Ceremony with cultural drumming and dancing (for daylight arrivals only). Orientation and welcome drinks at hotel.  Overnight at hotel in Accra.

Day 2                           ACCRA CITY TOUR

Breakfast at hotel. Depart for a sightseeing city tour of Accra. You will drive through the administrative and economic districts of Accra, the capital of Ghana. This 132-year-old city which has a blend of colonial and modern architecture that summarize her history.  You will visit the W. E. B. Dubois Center for Pan African Culture, Independence/ Black Star Square and the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park.
After lunch (on your own) in a local Ghanaian restaurant, you will end your tour at the Arts Centre where you will have an opportunity to use your bargaining skills to shop from an open-air market for artifacts from Ghana and West Africa.  Overnight at hotel in Accra.

DAY 3                             ACCRA-TAMALE-MOLE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast check out of your hotel and depart to the airport to catch flight to Tamale. Pick up from Tamale airport and visit Mole National Park.  Upon arrival, embark on an afternoon trek to view West Africa’s big game: elephants, antelopes, waterbucks, warthog’s baboons, monkeys and more. Overnight at hotel in Mole.

DAY 4                                                 MOLE, MOGNORI ECO VILLAGE
Depart for an early morning trek through the Mole National Park to view West Africa’s big game: elephants, antelopes, waterbucks, warthog’s baboons, monkeys, and more. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Later, visit the Mognori Eco Village, located 15 km from the main entrance of Mole National Park and closest community living near the park. Embark on a cultural tour of the Village to get a unique insight into the culture of the people living in close proximity with nature while maintaining their rich cultural heritage. The tour will offer you the opportunity to see how the villagers organize their households, process shea butter, and prepare their staple foods. Sit back and watch with admiration or actively partake in the cultural performance conducted by the dance assemble.
Return to Mole National Park to embark on an afternoon trek to view the rest of West Africa’s big game that were not viewed earlier.

DAY 5                           TAMALE CRAFT SHOPPING

After breakfast, check out and depart Mole for a drive to Tamale the capital of the Dagomba State. Visit the Centre for National Culture to see how the Northern Culture evolved. Here smocks (fugu) are designed, dyed and sewed by hand. You may shop at the Handicraft Market.  Visit Kukuo a suburb of Tamale to experience the mastery and style used in the manufacture of pottery and other household items with clay and local dye or (paint).  Overnight at hotel in Tamale.

DAY 6                        TAMALE – BOLGATANGA -OUAGADOUGOU

Breakfast at the Lodge. Check out and depart for a drive further northeast to Tamale, the capital of the Dagomba State. Spend a little leisure time visiting the National Cultural Centre before continuing on through Bolgatanga to the animated capital city of Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso for overnight at your hotel.

DAY 7                             OUAGADOUGOU CITY TOUR

Breakfast is served at your hotel. After breakfast depart for a sightseeing tour of Ouagadougou the traditional capital of the Mossi Empire. Visit the Grand Marche, the Musee National, Sankara’s grave and more. Use remainder of the day for relaxation. Overnight at your hotel in Ouagadougou.

DAY 8                            ‘W’ PARC NATIONAL D’ARLI IN BURKINA FASO 
After breakfast at hotel check out and take leisure trek in the D’Arli game park that houses the hippos, lions, elephants, monkeys, buffalos, leopards and more. Spend the remainder of the day for relaxation on a poolside in your hotel. Overnight at your hotel in Ouagadougou.

Breakfast is served at your hotel. Depart for a morning visit to the Parc National du “W” in Niger. Explore this incredible game park good for animal watching with herds of elephants, buffalos, big roan antelopes and duikers, large troop of baboons as well as hippos and warthogs. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. Overnight at your hotel in Niamey.

After breakfast at hotel check out to explore the treasures of Niamey on a day city tour. Visit the Grand Marche, the Musee National and the Centre Culturel Franco-Nigerien. This centre has an active schedule that includes exhibits by local artists and craftsmen, dance and theater performances, and regular film screenings. Remainder of the day to be spent relaxing. Overnight at your hotel in Niamey.

After breakfast, enjoy a drive through the historic Pendjari National Park, one of West Africa’s surviving tropical savannas. Take a walk through this forest to discover the wide variety and significant Big Game where you have a good chance of spotting elephants, buffalos, hippos, crocodiles lions, warthogs, monkeys, antelopes and other exotic wildlife. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at a hotel in Natitingou.

DAY 12                            THE SOMBA (TATA SOMBA)
After breakfast at your hotel, depart for a drive through Natitingou to visit the homeland of the Somba ethnic group. This authentic and charming part of the country suits the independent traveler because it has almost no tourist infrastructure. In the afternoon, tour the tribal villages, you will get to see the various housing architecture. Overnight at hotel in Nattingou.

After breakfast depart for Ganvie (the village on water) located in the southern part of Benin, commonly referred to as the Venice of West Africa. Witness first hand, the people of Ganvie carrying out their daily routine on water as vendors in dugout canoes pile high with wares, transacting commerce with one another. You will enjoy shopping on a floating market and cruising the waterways of this exotic 300-year-old village. Spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Overnight at hotel in Cotonou

DAY 14                         COTONOU - ACCRA
Early morning departure for Accra.  Check into your  hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.  Overnight at  hotel in  Accra.
