Living Heritage Experiences

• We would like to introduce to you some Living Heritage Experience options that you may want to participate in whilst on your tour. The Living Heritage Experience encompasses everyday cultural activities that Ghanaians perform.

• KASA (meaning – ‘Talk Time’) – This activity takes place preferably in the evenings (most often after dinner). It is an opportunity to learn more about the Ghanaian culture or simply talk to each other and share information about the experiences you are having on the tour. Kasa discussions are lead by your tour guide or group leader.

• Cultural Performance – Experience a wonderful traditional dance performance by some of Ghana’s best drumming and dance ensembles. They will soothe and excite you with their music, entertain you with their dance and thrill you with their acrobatic stunts. 

• Naming Ceremony – Enjoy a tumultuous welcome from the village citizens. You will have an opportunity to pay a courtesy call on the paramount chief and elders, and also participate in a naming ceremony, where you will be given traditional African names.

• Village Experience –You will have the opportunity to visit a village and observe the some of the everyday activities that are performed in the villages, such as a demonstration of pottery making, kente weaving, fishing, wood carving and many more activities.
