Day 1             ATUU – WELCOME
Arrive in Accra, Ghana. Transfer to the hotel for our traditional welcoming ceremony with Libation by a Wulomo (Ga traditional priest) accompanied with cultural appellations and responses. Orientation and welcome drinks at hotel. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Accra.

Day 2             ACCRA CITY TOUR
After breakfast, depart for a sightseeing tour of Accra. You will drive through the administrative and economic districts of Accra, Capital of Ghana. It is a 128-year-old city that has a blend of colonial and modern architecture. You will visit the W. E. B. Dubois Center for Pan African Culture, Independence/ Black Star Square and Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park. After your lunch, visit the University of Ghana at Legon, the first university to be built in the country, where you will be given a lecture on African culture. Rest of the afternoon will be spent at the Arts Centre where you will have an opportunity to use your bargaining skills as you shop for artifacts from Ghana and West Africa. Dinner and overnight at Hotel, Accra.

Day 3                                       GREENWICH MERIDIAN
Breakfast is served at the hotel, after which you will have an audience with a Ga Chief to witness a culture that has survived several hundred years of struggle.  After Lunch at a Ghanaian restaurant, continue with a drive through Portions of Accra to Nungua. Visit the showroom of special colorful and artistic traditional casket makers. Continue with a drive further eastward to Tema. Visit the Meridian Rock where you would physically be standing on the 0 degree longitude (Greenwich Meridian). Drive-through Tema, sight the sacred tree where the people first settled, the harbour project which displaced them, and drive through some of the residential areas of Tema. Dinner and overnight at Hotel in Accra.

Day 4             IDENTITY/ LEISURE
After early breakfast, the day begins with a drive to Kokrobitey a fishing village near Accra where elders of the community will hold a naming ceremony.  The rest of the day is spent in Kokrobitey. Visit the fishermen at the beach to interact with them by either helping to bring in the catch by dragnets or mending nets or lending moral support.
Return to village and participate in various fun activities, such as drumming and dance. After your lunch, return to Accra, spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Dinner at Hotel in Accra

KASA (Talk Time) Interaction Time  - An opportunity to learn a new Ghanaian song or tell folklore stories or simply talks to each other and share information with our guide. (This activity is optional.)   Overnight at Hotel in Accra.

Day 5             CAPE COAST/ ELMINA CASTLES
Depart for a drive to the Central Region to tour the infamous Forts, Castles and Slave Dungeons of Ghana. History will unfold the story of the slave trade which the impact is still felt beyond the shores of Africa today. Visit the Cape Coast Castle built by the Swedes in 1653 and was later taken over by the British. This castle also houses the West African Historical Museum established by the Smithsonian Institute in collaboration with the Ghanaian Government in 1994.  After lunch, visit the Elmina Castle built by the Portuguese in 1482 and is also known as St. George's Castle.  This castle was the first European structure built in Sub – Saharan Africa.  The colorful harbor nestle below the Elmina Castle, full of pirogues preparing to go to sea this magnificent sight offers one of West Africa’s greatest photo opportunities.  Dinner and Overnight at hotel in Elmina.

Day 6             KAKUM NATIONAL PARK – ACCRA
After Breakfast at hotel depart for a scenic drive through the historic Denkyira Kingdom to Kakum National Park, one of the West Africa’s surviving tropical rain forests; where you have the option of taking a 2 km nature walk through this forest to discover the wide variety of exotic floral species and the medicinal values they offer or take a walk on the infamous canopy walkway (one of only five in the world) suspended 30 meters above the forest floor. As a delightful intermission to today’s tour, enjoy a pleasurable lunch at Hans Cottage Botel while watching the resident crocodiles and busy weaver birds. After lunch check out of your hotel for a drive through historic fishing villages to Accra for dinner and overnight at your hotel in Accra.

Day 7         KLO WE & BEADS (Klo we -The sacred hill of the Krobos)    
After breakfast, we enjoy a drive through Shai Hills to Somanya to visit the home of a clan elder who will tell the story of the Krobos and their migration. Next, we shall visit a bead home to see the process of bead production, a specialty of the Krobos.
After your lunch, be part of a short "Otofo" cultural display to show-off beads and local dance and a special bead exhibition with emphasis on the beautiful locally mined stone beads. A chance to purchase the renowned Krobo beads from source. Return to Accra. Dinner and overnight at Hotel, Accra.

Day 8             ADA
After breakfast this morning, drive out to explore Ada, the estuary where the river Volta finally meets the Atlantic Ocean on the Eastern fringes of the Greater Accra Region.
You may choose from a range of water sports including Speed boating, canoeing, padallo etc. or relax at the pool or the waterfront. (Optional, not priced with package)  Return to Accra. Dinner and overnight at hotel, Accra
