Day 2 ACCRA CITY TOUR
After breakfast depart hotel for a sightseeing city tour of Accra. Your tour begins with a drive through the administrative and economic districts of Accra, the capital of Ghana. This 133-year-old city with has a blend of colonial and modern architecture that summarize her history. You will visit the W. E. B. Dubois Center for Pan African Culture, Independence/ Black Star Square, Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park. You will also visit the world famous fantasy coffins. This coffin factory produces coffins in all kinds and shapes including fruits, animals, and objects. These artistic coffins depict hobbies, tribes, occupations and interest of the individual the coffin is being made for. End your tour at the Arts Center, where you will have an opportunity to use your bargaining skills as you shop for artifacts from Ghana

Day 5 CAPE COAST/ ELMINA CASTLES
Depart for a drive to the Central Region to tour the infamous Forts, Castles and Slave Dungeons of Ghana. History will unfold the story of the slave trade which the impact is still felt beyond the shores of Africa today. Visit one of Ghana’s renowned Slave Castles the Cape Coast Castle built by the Swedes in 1653 and later taken over by the British. This castle also houses the West African Historical Museum established by the Smithsonian Institute in collaboration with the Ghanaian Government in 1994. After lunch on your own, visit Kakum National Park, one of West Africa’s surviving tropical rainforests. Extending over 360sq km, Kakum is the home to over 40 large mammals and 400 bird species as well as many species of butterflies, flora and fauna. The most popular attraction is the Canopy walkway which is made up of seven bridges extending 330m, hanging 40m above the forest floor. Choose between a 2 km nature walk through this forest to discover the wide variety of exotic floral species and the medicinal values they offer or take a walk on the canopy walkway. Drive to Takoradi to overnight at your hotel on the Busua Beach. |

**OPTIONAL ADD-ON DAY TOURS
Akosombo Cruise: Depart to Akosombo Port to cruise on the largest man-made lake in the world. Aboard the “Dodi Princess” you will dance to the sweet sounds of live highlife music played by the cruise boat resident band. Enjoy the calm of the lake and bask in the beauty of the mountain scenery and surrounding.
Ada Beach: Depart for a scenic drive to Ada on the Eastern fringes of the Greater Accra Region. Visit the village of Azizanya on the estuary of the Volta River. The Elders of the village will take you through their fishing culture and explain how they are able to navigate the estuary which has an under current of over seven knots. Spend the remainder of the day engaging in any of the following: canoeing, jet skiing, pedallo, or a range of water sports on the Volta River or simply relax and enjoy the view. (Rates for water sports are not included in package price).
Busua Beach: Rates for water sports and visit to private island are optional activities and are not included in the cost of this tour.
